We came here yesterday me my sister and our partners. Bouncers really killed the vibe. Very rude and intimidating. They let us in first time round and then when we came out for a smoke me and my partner wasn’t allowed back in, but allowed my sister. They said we weren’t allowed in due to my boyfriend wearing black cargos which I don’t see a problem in this as they are smart! They then were asking where are we from which we told them and they said “Do you even speak English?” Which of course we do! I felt very annoyed and uncomfortable after this situation. Won’t be coming back here again. They really need to consider getting some new bouncers as there is so many complaints about these bouncers thinking they own the place.

HOMOPHOBIC BAR! Please be warned the bouncers at this bar are extremely homophobic. I have witnessed on three separate occasions homophobic behaviour even to the extent of not allowing a gay man entry because he was wearing jeans yet just moments before a man with flip flops was permitted access. The bouncers are extremely rude unless you are female. It’s pretty disgusting to be honest. Avoid this place!

This is the worst and it was a Monday night. Approached the door with 2 friends one security said come on in was very welcoming. Got inside to the ID scanner and one security came running over like no go back outside. We done that and I was wearing a hat. He then said sorry guys no hats to which I said no problem il take it off. He said no it’s our license and no hats inside so I have to leave even if I take it off because it’s the license. I work in bars and this is the biggest load of shh I’ve ever heard. He was not interested what’s so ever and acted like my hat was a weapon! He then told us to leave! I don’t know if this is coming from the management talking in he’s ear or if he just had a problem with hats. Absolutely ridiculous. We walked past 5 mins later and he was giving more problems to people with a little manager talking next to him judging he’s trousers. Again I work in bars and it’s be at one you lot need to relax yourselves and stop making up license rules!

Have rated 3 just to put a review on, as unfortunately we were unable to enter the premises as one person in our party didn’t have ID, which they insisted was a mandatory requirement for ALL guests regardless of age, please bear this in mind if you’re planning to visit any time soon and be prepared.
We also couldn’t tell if the security guard was being serious or not with his approach, it felt a bit comedic at times - he said ‘you’re not allowed in when it’s your birthday’ which was totally bizarre 😅
So yeah, some unusual policies which I’ve not experienced at any other Be At One, so just warning people to be mindful before going along as we ended up wasting time making our way there.

I went to Be At One Greek Street for my boyfriend's birthday and had a terrible experience. I paid the entry fee for five people, but when we were waiting for the other five to get in, they were denied entry because my boyfriend was wearing cargos from Zara, which apparently wasn’t allowed. The service was awful, and they ruined our night over something so trivial. We ended up going to 100 Wardour Street after, and it was a much classier venue that let us all in without any issues. It just doesn’t make sense! Do not recommend, they think it’s a boujee mayfair vibe. Bouncer gave us a crap reason to why “there’s a law on outfits”. stupid reason! … had a great time at 100 wardour instead

If you’re looking for a venue in Soho that actively discriminates against LGBTQ+ individuals, look no further than Be At One Greek Street. What should have been a fun night out with friends quickly turned into an infuriating display of double standards, ignorance, and outright discrimination.
We arrived on Thursday evening with a pre-booked table, yet the staff seemed completely unaware of our reservation, making us wait unnecessarily before seating us. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of a series of incidents that made it clear Be At One is not a safe or welcoming space for LGBTQ+ customers.
As soon as we entered, my male friend—who openly presents as gay—took off his jumper, revealing a solid vest/tank top. No mesh, nothing provocative, just his arms and shoulders exposed. Within moments, a member of security approached him and said, “Can you put some clothes on?”
Confused and caught off guard, we asked why. The security guard gave no real explanation, simply stating, “I don’t make the rules.” Yet, as we looked around, it was obvious that many other customers—women—were wearing bralettes, crop tops, and outfits exposing just as much, if not more, skin. Not a single one of them was asked to “put some clothes on.”
Still, we tried to brush it off, got escorted to our table in the corner of the bar, and were given our complimentary bottle of Prosecco. But the harassment didn’t stop there. Security came over again to demand that my friend cover up, despite the glaringly obvious double standard.
Over the course of the evening, we had four to five different security guards approach us, as if my friend’s vest was some kind of scandalous offense. My friend made it clear he’d be happy to comply if the rule was enforced equally, but of course, it wasn’t.
One particularly vile security guard took things even further, repeatedly asking my friend, “But are you a girl?” as if that had any relevance. He wouldn’t let any of us speak, shutting down any attempt to question why this rule only seemed to apply to my friend. Instead, we were told, “Follow my rules, or he’s getting kicked out.” When we asked to speak to a manager, we were refused and told we could only do so after we left—as if they wanted to sweep this blatant discrimination under the rug.
To top it all off, we were then fed some ridiculous excuse about how a girl recently died because of what she wore on a night out at Be At One. How this was remotely relevant to our situation is beyond comprehension. It felt like a desperate attempt to justify their clear bias against a gay man for daring to wear a vest—something that would have been perfectly acceptable on a straight man or a woman.
By this point, we had lost any desire to stay. It was humiliating, infuriating, and deeply upsetting to watch my friend be singled out, embarrassed, and harassed simply for how he presents himself. And in Soho—one of London’s most famously LGBTQ+ friendly areas—this kind of discrimination feels even more disgusting. Be At One Greek Street should be a place where everyone is welcome, but instead, it has made it crystal clear that LGBTQ+ individuals are treated as second-class customers.
When we finally spoke to the manager, Rob, upon leaving, his response was just as disappointing. He didn’t seem to have an issue with what was being enforced—only with how it was communicated. That says everything. Management at Be At One Greek Street is more than happy to uphold sexist and homophobic double standards, and rather than address the clear discrimination, they prefer to smooth things over with empty apologies.
If you care at all about fairness, inclusivity, and basic human decency, avoid Be At One Greek Street at all costs. Spend your money somewhere that actually welcomes you, instead of a place that goes out of its way to embarrass and police LGBTQ+ customers while letting everyone else do as they please.
To add, I’ve attached the “scandalous outfit my friend was wearing (left) Next to our other female friend (right). The double standards are infinite

One of the bouncers ruined my night here. Went out for a cigerette and could have easily been politely asked to stand over the road rather than be damanded to get across the road. Didnt even say a word and got asked if I was wanting back in or not. When I went to go back in and asked why I was made to cross the street while others were smoking where I had been originally standing I was told I was being difficult. Its not difficult to have some manners. Every other bouncer was fine except that one. His aggressive attitude really ruined our night and made me feel so uncomfortable that we left and went next door where we were treated with decency and looked after. I'll never understand why people with such a bad attitude choose to work in a role like that.

Visited on a Thursday evening, security were amazing every step of the way, very friendly and lovely to talk too. However once inside the service from the bartender diddnt match the service from door staff. The bartender that served us wasn’t very attentive and seemed bored to be there, it was quite quiet inside but the customers were maintaining a good vibe so it was still an enjoyable experience. Diddnt get any of the usual flair from be at one bartenders but maybe we were in at the wrong time. They also diddnt seem best impressed when we asked to scan our mixer cards, but we also work at stonegate venues and know how big that is at the moment. All in all 5/5 for the door staff and customer vibes, 3/5 for service

Went on a Thursday night, was very busy for a weekday with a great vibe! Security were absolutely lovely throughout the whole night. However, our bartender seemed almost annoyed by our presence which was a shame. I love the be at one brand for it’s fun friendly bartenders that (usually) act involved but that just wasn’t there this time unfortunately. Drinks were great, of course, but just a shame the bar team let us down.
